if you're not using both yet , your site's missing out on big indexing boosts from Google. Start with a basic xmlsitemap and add in relevant schema markup via json-ld. It s like giving search engines double the reasons to crawl ya.

i reckon both have their place depending if you're optimizing for speed vs search index updates. xml sitemaps are still pretty solid, especially when it comes to letting google know about new or updated content regularly without relying on them too heavily though json-ld is handy in specific cases like rich snippets and structured data markup like this.
