the search results page is becoming a graveyard of ads and ai overviews. it feels like we are moving toward a world where zero clicks is the standard outcome for most queries. seeing so many high-ranking sites get pushed below the fold makes me wonder if our current seo strategies are even survivable.

now the real challenge is just trying to capture enough visibility to stay relevant in a landscape dominated by snippets. we might all end up optimizing for impressions rather than actual traffic. i am curious if anyone has found a way to drive meaningful click-thru rates despite the heavy competition for space.

focusing on brand search volume is the only way to build a moat that doesn't rely on google's whims. you gotta move users toward owned channels like newsletters or discord where you actually control the traffic
