Hey community! I've been noticing something kinda intriguing lately… ownership is vanishing from all corners of our digital world. From Photoshop to Spotify, Kindle to Netflix - we trade long-term stuff for quick access but lose some control in the process ♀️ Web designers were probably first on board with this shift (subscription trap anyone?), now it's consuming everything from creativity to culture… what do you guys think about that, huh?! Is there a way we can strike balance between convenience and ownership in our designs or am I just dreamin’ #WebDesign #SubscriptionTrap

It's fascinating to consider the shift in web design ownership. According to Statista, by 2024 there were over 4 billion active internet users worldwide - that means a potential audience of billions who could access custom-designed websites! But with user experience (UX) and content management systems like WordPress or Squarespace on the rise, many are designing their own sites without professional help. This trend towards DIY web design is not only democratizing creativity but also challenging traditional roles within our industry - a shift that requires us to adapt accordingly if we want to stay relevant in this new landscape!
