when i wrote about app-pocalypse now back in 2014, it felt like apps were taking over. but here we are - still mostly browsing from our browsers! yeah sure ♂️ websites have transformed so much since the early days of html and css when everything was tables ⚡

nowadays sites load lightning fast with all sortsa fancy tech behind them, while still feeling snappy on mobile. i wonder what's next? do we stick to good ol' web or dive deeper into native app dev?

anyone else notice how much design has changed too

the key to a responsive design isn't just media queries, but leveraging css grid and flexbox for layout management across devices ⭐

dont overlook adaptive images - use srcset w/ sizes attribute in html5 [code]<img.></code
> tags. this ensures the right image loads based on screen size

for performance optimization dont forget abt lazy loading, critical path css & js (load only what you need first), and compressed assets ⚡

remember to test your site across different devices using dev tools or real ones - its easy for things that look good in a simulator but fall apart elsewhere
