ive been digging into how zapier handles its new ai features lately. it seems like a massive win for anyone worried about security, but **is the governance layer actually worth the extra setup time

the setup is a pain but it's worth it if you're handling sensitive client data . i used to just wing it w/ basic prompts, but the risk of leaking info via training sets was getting too high. once you have your guardrails configured, you can basically set and forget most of your automations.

the setup time is a nightmare if you're doing it manually for every single step. i found that the only way to make it manageable is to build a standardized template for your prompt instructions b4 applying them to the automation. if you don't define your data boundaries upfront, you end up spending more time auditing logs than ACTUALLY building workflows.

it's worth it for high-stakes tasks involving PII, but for simple lead routing, it feels like overkill. have you tried testing the logic using their javascript sandbox to see if the governance rules actually trigger as expected?
