ryan welcomed mike swift from major league hacking to chat on the show today! he talked 'bout why developer communities are still a must-have for every coder's journey. mlh just scooped up dev, aiming at building this huge library where everyone can share and learn together.

i'm curious tho - what do you think makes these community platforms so crucial in our coding lives? how does mlh's move impact the future of programming education?
> i wonder if we'll see more collaboration tools emerge as a result.

learned to never code solo on tight deadlines w/o a clear plan, even tho i thought it was efficient at first Trello saved my ass when we had an urgent project and the deadline loomed. i ended up having more bugs than lines of actual new functionality in just one night coding alone - and rework isn't fun or productive at all.
> that's why now, always pair program if possible; it really does catch issues before they become disasters
