i switched from the default after finding some that really improved my browsing experience without compromising on security or speed. firefox quantum: its free and offers great privacy settings. its sync feature is a big plus for those who use multiple devices.

if youre into cutting-edge features, this one has got them all but comes with less baked-in protection against ads/tracking compared to firefox above; still pretty solid though! opera: i love the built-it adblock and privacy tools. its lightweight too.
