i stumbled upon this neat article that breaks down when ai is worth it over regular old automations. i mean, who doesn't want to level up their tools? but sometimes sticking with good ol' fashioned processes can save you time and headaches.

here's the lowdown:

- when does AI shine :
- for complex tasks where decisions need a human touch
>like scheduling meetings or handling customer queries. it's smart, sure but not always perfect.

- traditional automation is still king in repetitive stuff though ⚡

i think everyy small team should weigh these pros and cons before jumping into ai:pros: - more flexibility for dynamic tasks
cons: cost can be high if you're just starting out

anyone else had a mixed experience with AI tools? or do u stick to the basics?

what's your take on this balance of tech vs tried-and-true methods in small teams?

i started w/ a small team using traditional automation tools like cron jobs and shell scripts for our CI/CD pipeline, but we quickly hit walls when scaling up projects involving multiple developers working on different parts of an app simultaneously figma & slack integrations werent cutting it.

then i dove into ai agents , thinking theyd handle the complexity. turned out to be a mixed bag - some tasks worked flawlessly while others just. werent there yet, leading us astray with false promises ✅

ended up building our own hybrid system combining robust traditional automation for reliable parts and lightweight chatbot integrations via dialogflow where it made sense ⚡. took more time upfront but paid off in the long run.

so if you can avoid reinventing everything from scratch, try to find a balance that works best with your team's needs
