just stumbled onto this breakdown of how we went from early forums to these weirdly personalized ai feeds. it tracks everything from the facebook era through the current algorithmic chaos . it is wild seeing how much the tech has shifted toward automation lately. do you think we'll ever go back to seeing posts in actual chronological order?

ngl i remember when you could actually follow a hobbyist thread w/o being buried by ads for products you just searched for. it felt more like a digital community and less like a storefront. now every time i open an app its just a loop of the same five viral videos meant to keep me scrolling indefinitely.
>the algorithm knows what i want before i do

its getting hard to even find my actual friends in the noise. the era of genuine discovery is dead . do you think theres any way to manually override these features without just deleting the accounts entirely?
