if u wanna clean up ur main feed w/o unfollowing anyone, try using the muted accounts feature. it keeps ur timeline from being cluttered by content you no longer care about while still letting u see their posts if you manually check. just go to the profile and select mute posts and stories lmao.

i used to unfollow everyone when i felt overwhelmed but it always felt too aggressive for my close friends. muting is the only way to maintain the social peace w/o seeing every single vacation photo from people you barely talk to. i also recommend using the "not interested" button on reels specifically bc that algorithm is spoiler actually unavoidable ]] if you dont actively train it. does this work for ads too or does instagram just keep shoving those into your feed regardless? it definitely helps with the clutter but the sheer amount of promoted content makes the whole experience feel like a mess anyway.
