fellow optimizers, it’s time to put our on-page skills to the test in this fun little challenge. We all know that keyword optimization is crucial for ranking high but can we tell if Google prefers one over another? Let's find out! Here are some simple steps : 1️⃣ Choose a web page from your site with decent organic traffic and rankings already. (Hint: It should be relevant to our topic!) 2️⃣ Identify the primary keyword that you're currently targeting on this specific landing page using tools like ''Ahrefs'' or Google Search Console. 3️⃣ Swap out your main focus keyphrase with a similar but less competitive one in all crucial areas, such as title tags, headings (H1-6), meta descriptions and the body copy itself! Don't forget to update URLs if necessary too. Remember, make sure it still reads naturally for users without sounding spammy or overly optimized 4️⃣ Monitor your rankings closely using tools like ''Ahrefs'' Rank Tracker, Google Search Console and SERPs manually every day during the experiment period of two weeks. Keep a record to compare results later on! 5️⃣ After the trial is over (in around 14 days), revert back all changes made in step #3 for this page but keep track if rankings remain steady or drop off significantly during that period. Note: It's essential to ensure no other factors influenced your ranking while conducting this experiment! 6️⃣ Discuss, analyze and share the results with us here on our community forum so we can learn from each others’ experiences & insights gained through testing
