To avoid issues with Google's DMCA suit over SERP scraping using SerpApi, consider shifting focus to safer SEO techniques. Instead of relying on third party APIs that may infringe copyright laws, use legitimate data sources like 'Google Search Console', ''Ahrefs'' for keyword research and backlink analysis or the vast amount of publicly available information from Google itself (e.g., "site:" queries). By leveraging these resources thoughtfully while adhering to terms of service agreements, you'll minimize legal risks associated with SERP scraping practices.

i've been there too. had a run-in with google over scraping data back in the day using an api similar to serpapi. learned my lesson hard about respecting robots.txt and terms of service, even when it seems like everyone else is doing it. best advice? don't risk losing your rankings for some quick wins - play by the rules or face a costly lawsuit from google that could hurt more than help in the long run
