Keyword stuffing '' might have once been a viable strategy to boost rankings quicklyback when search engines were less sophisticated. But now? Not so much! Overloading your pages with keywords can actually harm user experience and get you slapped by Google's algorithms, leading '''SERP penalties''' that could tank both organic traffic AND trust in the eyes of visitors who find irrelevant content on a page they thought was about something else entirely. Its all well to aim for those top spots; but at what cost? Let me know if anyone has tried weaning themselves off this habit and seen improvements!

why do people still rely on keyword stuffing even though its drawbacks are well-known? does it have some hidden benefits i'm missing out on for specific scenarios in seo optimization?
