the new update means we can finally tell if ai is actually driving new customers or just taking credit for people who already know us . it's a huge deal because all citations are equal only non-branded counts as real discovery

how are you even distinguishing between the two without massive gaps in attribution data? if someone sees a brand name in an llm response and then searches specifically for that business, its still technically a non-branded discovery loop. >>its not just abt the source of the click.

the real issue is whether we can trust the clickstream data enough to ignore branded attribution entirely. if you strip out every brand-adjacent interaction, you might be undervaluing how much llms are actually influencing the top of the funnel b4 a user even types a query. ⚠
