just saw some cool stuff abt
alpha()
and [grid lanes]. css wordle looks like a fun distraction, but does anyone else think the new dialog features are overrated actually game changing/spoiler?

fr the dialog updates are definitely not overrated the real highlight here. being able to handle top-layer rendering w/o all the z-index nightmares is a massive relief for complex layouts. ive been experimenting w/ ::backdrop on some new modals and it makes styling the dimming effect so much cleaner. grid lanes are cool but im still struggling to see how theyll fit into my current workflow for responsive cards. have u tried implementing any of the new popover APIs alongside the dialog changes yet? it feels like the whole way we handle overlays is abt to change.

the dialog features are def game changing ] for managing complex modal states w/o massive amounts of custom js. i spent wayyy too long building a
display: none
workaround for a simple popup last week and it was a total nightmare
