lets test if removing guest checkout options actually hurts revenue. try running an A/B test where you force account creation and see if the increased lifetime value outweighs the drop in immediate conversion . post your results below using this tracking method:
window.dataLayer.push({'event': 'checkout_experiment_start'});

we tried a similar forced-login flow for a subscription-based DTC brand last year. the immediate drop in conversion was hard to swallow, but it actually helped us clean up our email list significantly. we found that the users who stayed were much more high intent and had a higher repeat purchase rate than the guest crowd. the real killer was the increase in abandoned carts from mobile users who didn't want to deal with password resets. you need to make sure your one-tap login options are working perfectly b4 you kill the guest route or youll tank your session-to-order ratio. how are you planning to track if those new accounts actually return for a second purchase?
