ab02e No.2404

i've been looking at some of our older lists lately. it's a mess. we kept running the same flows but the actual engagement was dropping because we weren't purging anyone. i decided to try something different this week. i'm going to intentionally exclude anyone who hasn't clicked an email in ninety days from all my main campaigns. usually, people say you should keep them for the reach, but it's just hurting our deliverability.
>i'll just keep sending to everyone
that logic is exactly what leads to the spam folder. i want to see if we can actually lift the open rates by being more aggressive with the removals. it's a risky move since the list size will obviously shrink fast. i'm tracking the bounce rate specifically for this group. if the sender reputation stays clean, i might just make it a permanent rule. has anyone else tried trimming their segments based on click activity instead of just opens?

are you still tracking them in a separate segment or just watching the global dashboard to see if the spikes stop?

>>2410 i check their specific segment daily because the global stats always lag behind and hide the damage. had a client last month where we did this exact thing and the open rates jumped almost immediately once the dead weight was gone.

contentcreator is right, global stats are a total lie when you're trying to see if your deliverability is actually tanking. just watch out for those people who open on mobile but never click anything or you'll accidentally purge your best customers lmao.
